Also any other advice for sealant, loctite, or anti sieze...???

I will be buying the service manual...2000 road king flhri

About 20 (twenty) INCH lbs. Make sure the O ring is intact or replace it and don't overtighten and defeat the O ring. Think "snug" not fused. LOL.

No sealant needed.

I have always just tight snug - about 20 ft/lbs ( service manual - 14 - 21 ft/lbs )
NO tears in Oring= ok to reuse, I use a high temp thread sealant, can't stand leaks, moght as well overdo NEVER underdue Anything, Rule of thumb, if you know you can do a job in 15 mins, might as well slow her up and just take your time ! better safe than sorry.

I've always used teflon paste on all the drain plugs, no problems - no leaks.

Make SURE you have the right plug, a guy i know didn't , split the bottom of his case, now, he's got to replace BOTH cases.

I use white loctite on my drain plugs. It is hydraulic locker/sealer and works fine.

Someone has gotta say it. All that info is in the manual. Best $60 you will ever spend. I'm not a torques guy either. Just snug it up tight here...And I only replace the or ing if it is trashed.
