I have done a few searches but the search engine here hasn't given me much of what am looking for so anyways...
I am looking for tips for my very first motorcycle oil change.
Unfortunatly I am still waiting to get my service manual, so I will probably wait for the oil change until I get the manual, but any other tips would be great.
I ahve never owned or worked on bikes before, but I have done alot of work on old Chevy motors but that was a long time ago.
Again thank you very much for any help you can offer in advance.

Really nothin different than a car. Warm up engine shut off engine drain old oil replace old filter with a new one replace oil. Not sure about a 02 Fatboy but my 2000 Heritage takes 3 1/2 quarts with filter change. Best advice spend your 50 dollars on a service manual will pay for itself in no time. Good luck and Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year.
Yeah I have already bid on a service manual in Ebay, the HD Dealership wants $64 plus they have to order it so I am looking for something a little cheaper, worse comes to worse I will just have them order it but I need to try other avanues first ya konw LOL
What are you changing the oil in . Softail , Dyna ?
Drain plug on a Softail is in the frame just foward of the bottom swing arm where it connects to the frame on the right side. Then its just drain and replace oil and filter.
