well it doesnt really say what its wt is, but it "compares to and performs like a 75-250" is what i remember it saying on the bottle. also i am told the regular redline Heavy Gear Oil with Shockproof is heavier than the Vtwin Transmission oil with Shockproof. I cant really tell a difference they are both about the consistency of yogurt trying to get it in the hole. my tranny is definitely quieter with it though.

Anyone used the 20W-60 Redline in the motor? Any difference in oil temp or oil pressure for those of you with gauges?

Thanks!
Don't waste your money on expensive stuff in the primary. Any cheap pri lube, or dino oil works just fine...

Arizona - I haven't used Redline in my HD, but I did switch to the Amsoil and noticed a significant reduction in engine heat. I also switched to Severe Gear 75-90 and it smoothed out the shifting some too.

.Lately i use amsoil universal sythetic atf and their 75-110 gear lube in the tranny. I was not comfortable with 75-90 in hot weather, and i think the 75-140 is just too heavy to shed heat quickly.

I'm a Red Line guy all around. Have been since I talked to a tech at the Benicia Ca. facility. Best by me.

I have been using Redline in all bikes and cars for a few years. I think there is a significant difference and like others said a few extra bucks protecting the engine and tranny is worth it, to me anyway!

I live in the Mojave desert where we'll see many miles in 110 plus temps, and the 75-90 works fine.

I do not have any doc to back up the Mobil One/ SE Syn oil, but I was told this info. from the guy that Dynoed my bike @ my HD dealer. I asked a service manager at another dealer about it and he said that he had heard the same thing. I put a small amount of ea. on a piece of glass and could not tell the difference myself. I hope that I am not wrong on this one, just going off of what I was told. He also said that the different manufactures of oils bid on getting the contract every couple years. So, hopefully he knows more than me.... Sorry if I end up wrong on this one...
