In my Tranny, went from HD Dino to Syn 3, seemed quiter. Then went from Syn 3 to Royal Purple 75W90 and was quieter yet. Then went from Royal Purple 75W90 to Redline Shockproof heavy and didn't really notice any difference. Currently running Amsoil 75W90 severe gear, and again, no difference over the Royal Purple or Shockproof heavy. Don't see where you would be going wrong with any of them from my experience.
Had a hard time finding it locally. A German parts house that I deal with ended up with a case and I bought it at cost. Boy did it set me back on my heels when I opened the bottle. I could have sworn that I cut myself when I cut the seal off the top of the bottle. Weird! Anyway, drained the old Syn3 and topped it of the SPHeavy and it did make a difference. Smoother, quieter shifting, less clank when it goes into gear.
I switched from Amsoil 20-50w and have to admit that I can't tell any difference. I've now gone 800 miles since the change and it might be getting a little smoother. Clunk is definitely still there.
I still feel good about the change and will continue to use it. The Redline product is excellent.
I didn't notice that much difference when I had it put in on my 1K service 4 months ago but I will continue using it.
The question I have is after you guys have had the bike on the road for 100 miles or so or even doing a nice all day ride hows the shifting? Hows the lubricant stand up to getting hot?
I run Mobil 80-140 and like the gear lube when the lubricant is cold -warm, but when it starts to get hot the clanking is back...
Kinda like with the 20-50 when its cold

Never seen anything stick like the Redline Shockproof Heavy. Put it in the tranny over a month ago. Set the funnel aside to let the residue drain into a can. The stuff hasn't even budged an inch!
I'm running it in my trans, things got quieter, but I don't know for sure if it was the oil or just getting some miles on the thing to break it in. Still have a nice clunk when shifting.
