I suppose it wouldn't hurt....but I don't really see a need..
When you drain the oil it drains from the oil tank, the crankcase is still full of oil (dirty)..and then that dirty oil gets pumped back into your tank.

Referring to my post above. I always run engine to operating temp to suspend any solids, therefore the oil is hot and all engine components are lubricated when the engine oil is drained.
