Default Wet Sump Solution?

If I suspect excess oil due to a wet sump, is the solution to simply run the bike for a few minutes and then check the oil level, draining any excess? I believe a wet sump may still be causing unwanted oil pressure. Thanks.

Yes as Skip said, that'll work , but I don't think the wet sump can cause excessive oil pressure, just a loss of power if it is excessive oil. If it is a re occuring problem , you might consider realigning the oil pump as a possible cure.
