How much is too much?

How much is too much?

I posted this yesterday but I guess I worded it badly. I was changing the oil in two different bikes at once and in the process I acccidentaly put a little too much oil in the evol (3 qts. plus what I could get in the new filter). My question is, would this be enough to cause a leak to begin at the push rod block gaskets or is this just a coincidence? Thanks for any feed back.
