I have an 06 ultra. My last few rides last fall before i parked my bike for the winter I had oil comming out of my air cleaner,( Stage1 s/e airbox) the dealer tels me this is normal. It was to the point that when i leaned it on the jiffy stand the oil would drip on the engine. My thanx in advance for any help on this and Merry xmas.
That's not a normal thing for an ultra. Sporties and softails do it ocasionally because the tank is higher than the engine but the ultra is below the trans. Is your oil overfilled maybe? You should only have oil vapor coming out when it runs but no substantial oil when parked. There are a number of things that can cause it and I would call another dealer and ask them the same question.
When was the last time you cleaned your air filter?
Your crankcase vents into the air cleaner and the oil vapor is supposed to get burned when the bike is running. An xcessive amount would mean that you are getting too much crankcase pressure or your oil vapors are getting trapped somehow in the air cleaner and not getting burned when the bike is running.
If this happens after a long run, then I would have it checked out. If your air filter hasn't been cleaned for a while then do that, too.
