I just finished my 26g and used the stock pump and put in a Baisley spring to try and see how that works. Didn't want to spend any more than I needed to.
Hey Vic, been following your threads on HTT about the problem you had with junk in your cam chest, how's that working out for ya? I think Gary still has an installer left that is already made, if not I can lend you mine.
Just installed a 26G cam with Feuling lifters, should I install a Super Pump it seem that when the engine warms up I get a little clattering,
Where can I get the best price for one.
I'll bet adding a high buck pump won't make your 26G noise go away.....I put in 26's and got the noisy top end when she get's hot syndrome. I followed the advise of several people and changed lifters, adjusted pushrods this way and that way, and added a Baisley spring. Nothing made the noise away or lessen to any degree....That was 12k ago. I don't pay any attention to it anymore....I read on another forum a thread on noisy 26 cams. Several guys reported the same results....Lots of them tick when they get hot.
