What is that terrible smell when changing the old oil. Is that the commutator coils?

really would like to know what I have for a compensator before I change the oil.....if it is oem I'd change it out......se or baker then I'd just change the oil,......no issue's as of yet.
I went to a synthetic same compensator, I have wrench lined up to change the comp to an se and use the warranty that I have.

I really liked the amsoil primary but found all it takes is 25% amsoil OE trans fluid mixed with it and she shifts like a dream. As good as running straight trans for shifting but feel it has better protection this way.might try using a mix of less atf to see how low it can go and still shift good. Sure can go lower % in heat as this is cool weather now @ 50°f.

Either i have missed a post or im the first to ask about it, but has anybody used amsoils primary and trans oils yet? Ive always uses 20w50 in all 3 holes. Wondering if its worth the money to make a switch.
