I'll be using this oil with confidence along with a "non-motorcycle specific" automotive filter. I know, blasphemy right. With all of the information that is readily available on the internet, I'm still amazed how many people still believe in the "motorcycle specific" oil myth. Oh well. And yes, I bought all 4 jugs they had on the shelf. My wife said I better go back today to see if they restocked They also had a bunch of NextGen at the same $5 a jug price as well as quart bottles for $1.
Show off.
Only one problem I would have with that much oil in stock is I would have to stock up on tires too. Knowing I had that much oil I would burn it up as fast as I could. You got like 25,000-35,000 miles worth of oil for the bike right there.
Im not a hater type so I ask the next question as an educational one for myself. I like knowing what works. What filter do you use? If i ever need a filter in an emergency situation I like to know what my options are. Nice score! Thanks for sharing and have fun with all that oil.....
Great price but you got to change it more often than full synthetic. Only drawback I see. I use Mobile 1 15w50 .... lasts a long time. A lot cheaper than their 20w50 V-Twin oil, but better. Only for the engine hole though.

That is only part of my stash. I haven't bought oil at regular price in years. There are always sales somewhere. I usually check over at bobistheoilguy.com for info and updates.
I have an '89 FLHTC and am currently running a Purolator L10242 filter. I got the info from here: https://www.hdforums.com/forum/oil-r...reference.html and here: http://motorcycleinfo.calsci.com/FilterXRef.html. The Purolator MC specific filter # used to be ML16822, although I can't find it on their site anymore. All of the specs were the same right down to the relief valve settings. Since you can't see my filter when it's installed, I just leave it white. Hope this helps.

Thats a great site everyone can use.
I use Purolator on the wifes car. They are made in the city I live in right now. I paid $2.64 for it. Cant beat that for a USA made filter and they are great quality too. I am adding them numbers to my notes. I never even thought to see if they made Harley filters. Thank you for the site and info.
I mostly use either the Purolator Classic or the P1 on most of my vehicles. They are great American made filters. Check the Purolator site from time to time. They often have rebates on their filters, both air and oil.
Going to Autozone today to check if they have the same....I just picked up a bunch of Valvoline syn/blend for the 2 cars in 5/20... I normally cathch the NAPA full syn 15w50 for the bike at $3.99/qt, i can live with that.

I went back yesterday and it was all gone Also, some guys are saying that it wasn't on sale in their area or that one store had it on sale and another did. At some places it wasn't marked as on sale but it rang up at the sale price. They may have other oil on sale as well.
