92 flstc.. My owners manual says the primary holds 30 to 36 ozs. I used a midpoint amount of 32 ozs. just to keep from buying another bottle .Figured I am safe doing this .Dealer here says a full 36 and another says 30 ?? Any solid answer out there ??.I do not use the derby opening to fill.I use the inspection cover .
Do your self a favor, remove the derby cover after draining and measure the amount that it takes to bring up the oil level up to the bottom of the clutch outer circumference with the bike level and upright. You'll then have the exact amount that it will take you to fill in the future through the inspection cover. It should be 28-32 ounces.
