I didn't see her
Can't imagine having to deal with something like that. Let alone rolling up on it right after it happened. Glad she is doing ok and giver her all of our best and wishes for a speedy recovery.
And glad you kept your cool. In all honesty it would have been real hard for me to control the blind range that would be focused right towards that driver.

Here recently in the tri-county area, up in the city of Wetumpka, a local EMT was called to respond to an accident.
When he got there, it was his 16 YO daughter who was dead at the scene.
I cannot imagine. But knowing him personally helps me to relate a little to this situation we are praying about here.
How is the recovery going?

First off, I do want to thank everyone for the comments and concerns. Obviously this is a difficult time and although I am getting support from those around me, the support I get from riders from all around is genuinly appreciated. Thank you all.
She went in for surgery today. They started at 8am and finished around 1pm. The bone that supports the upper teeth was broken where the eye teeth are. This was fixed by just putting the broken pieces back in place then pushing back into place the separated bone. This should heal back to basically normal (however, she is missing teeth...to be fixed later).
The right wrist had a severe fracture, but not compound. This was fixed/set and except for stiffness and such, should be basically normal. There may be some loss of strength.
The pelvis was broke in 3 places. This was secured back together with nuts, bolts, screws, rods and pieces of an old Pinto. Same thing as the wrist, there may be morning pain, stiffness and such but, it will heal fairly well. She has feeling in her feet and can move her toes. Airports will be a bitch to go thru.
Her left wrist was not fixed yet. This wrist had a severe compound fracture with cut tendons and both bones extending out of the arm. This has temporaily been secured using external fixation and has been cleaned and irrigated. The tendons were sewn together and she can move her fingers. I did not she her move her thumb but, the wrist is still unfiixed. This will be a future surgery, probably next week.
She was on massive doses of morphine. In fact, I think she was taking more than Columbia can produce. Now, she is off the morphine. If she thought she was in pain before, she's got something in store for her.
As I had mentioned before, at first I was only stopping to help a fellow biker. I might add I watched as another one rode past. As bikers, I believe we owe it to each other to support and help. A downed rider may be injured by actions of cage drivers because they are not assisting properly. While their help is appreciated, another biker is more in tune to what to do or not to do. We call ourselves brothers amd sisters and I know for me I see you all just that way. I just ask that those that read this stop and help our brothers and sisters out when broke down or .....

Dang Bro! Prayers up. Keep us updated. Been there myself, tell her if Ol ****** can stand the pain and agony, she should be fine! hahahaha Be careful in the next few days, she is gonna be, well,, uh, sorta of, weeeellll Ill Feeling and mean? Seriously, Bro, glad it is no wrose than it is, could have easily been!
Thanks all. Surgery on the left wrist was done today. More plates, rods, nuts and bolts. She says it hurts like hell but, I think that's understood. We hope to move her into a care/rehab facility around the middle of the week. She'll be there for about 3 months. Got word today the bike was totalled. Since she says she won't ride again, that's a good thing.
Very glad she is going to be OK.
I wouldn't count on the not riding thing just yet... If the bug bit once, it will most likely bite again.
3 months sounds pretty rough, but it will be over before you know it.
