I spoke with Jud today and thought I'd post an update for those in the Dallas, Texas area who know him. For those who don't, Jud is a highly skilled Indy shop owner and one of the nicest, most honest people you will ever meet. He was stricken with cancer last year and wasn't given a positive prognosis. He worked as long as he was capable and closed his shop when the treatment side effects grew too much to bear.
The good news is Jud believes he's on the mend and sees a light at the end of the tunnel. He even said he wants to return to his shop part time, perhaps next month. If you want to reach out to Jud, his wife set up a site at: www.caringbridge.org/visit/judcowley
He said she will use this site to alert people when he is ready to take on clients again.
I got to meet Jud today and talk with him about motorcycle stuff. Fantastic guy and if I had not of stumbled on this thread I'd never of known. He seemed good and had a shop full of bikes. Ill make sure to keep him in my prayers for continued health. I have family members in chemo now. It sucks.
I was there about 2 weeks ago, Jud helped me out by balancing a tire after hours for me. His shop was packed. As far as I could tell, he had two Dyno's also, both with bikes on them. Saw some impressive motorcycles in there.
Great guy and glad he is healthy. If you are in the DFW area, go see Jud.
