Hello everybody

I want to go for a 3 - 4 week trip from Calgary to Vancouver next summer 2007. Does anybody has good ideas for me about this aeras....

Hi Ralph. There are many great rides between Calgary and Vancouver but if you're not in a hurry I would take Hwy 22 south from Calgary to Hwy 3 which will go through Crowsnest Pass and over to Cranbrook and Creston BC.Hwy 3 will take you all the way to Hope and goes through msny besutiful places. At Hope you come into the Fraser Valley and meet up with the Trans Canada heading west to Vancouver.

Also as a side trip I highly recommend going from Creston north along Kootenay Lake and ferry over to Nelson, then down to Castlegar and back on to Hwy 3 again.

Side trip through the Okanagan is worth the ride as well....

Take the 3A from Creston up to Crawford Bay and the ferry over to Balfour.Any road from there is excellent

 

Lots of awesome roads and routes all over BC. The Duffy Lake hwy. from Lilloet to Pemberton is one of them (from the Caribou down to the coast). Check out this link.

Thanks for your answers..last week I booked the Flys for my familiy..Switzerland - Calgary on the 7.7.2007 and return on the 30.7.2007 from Vancouver...I think the first we gona do is to have a look to the stampede at Calgary. I also booked only the Hotels in Calgary and Vancouver...and a few Days in the House of a friend of mine next to little fort. She left Switzerland 3 years ago andown now a B&B house there...for the rest of time i' m looking now on different roadmaps...I know 3 weeks are a short time..but better than nothing...

Its now exactly 20 years ago that i was in Canada for a while..I spent 5 months in Toronto ( January - may 1987 )for studie english..the last years i didn't spoke a lot of english..i hope my english now is not to bad.....

I have a 2003 XL 883R, modified for 1200 ccm by ScreaminEagle and Buellparts 93 HP on the Headwheel..

If I know more about my tripdestinations i will let you know
