I was there too. Had about to "weather" about 100 miles to get there from the states. Was snowing when I left and in the back of my mind I was thinking 'boy this is stupid'. When I got to Canada the roads dried out and eventually even the sun appeared. There was way more people (meaning bikes) than I would have guessed. My poor judgement of numbers would say 6-8,000 bikes.
Great time... the cold weather ones seem to be a little rowdier than the warm weather ones.
Only missed one (Oct 13, 2006 due to storm) in last 7 years. Don't plan on missing any more.
Sorry I didn't answer. The weather where I live was crap so I didn't go. I was driving (cage)down HWY 10 south of 89 and it was blowing snow.
My bud who lives in Hamilton went from there and said it wasn't bad.
