In early July I'm vacationing out in SD/LA and was gonna rent a ride and go up the 1 for a day out of LA. Anything I should look for?
1st - be careful of the old folks driving their BMW's and Mercedes on Hwy 1 who don't watch for motorcycles.
2nd - On the way north out of LA there is a lot of traffic on Hwy 1. Depending on how far you want to go, you might be better taking the freeway north and then cut back across to Hwy 1.
3rd - If you like fish, Neptune's Net in Malibu is a good place to eat with decent prices.
