This morning in San Diego County it was a little cooler, so I put on the full face and headed to work. What a beautiful morning, crisp air and wispy clouds. I feel GREAT being able to ride 55 miles every day even if it is to and from work. I took a little longer route this morning (oops missed the exit, darn) and had some fun. I sure missed riding while I was building this thing, had to sell my other bike to afford to build this one. Gonna miss it again this winter when I tear it down to paint it.
I even had a smile on my face when I got stopped for having no license plate and a warning for going 5 mph over the speed limit. Just smiled and handed the officer my temporary registration, license and proof of insurance. I think the officer was enjoying the morning too.
I ride to work every morning and I have to admit that it is best parts of my work day. I look forward every morning to going out, firing up my scoot and hitting the road. In the afternoon, I always feel a twinge of excitement as I walk to the parking lot, hop on my bike and ride off into the sunset. Its a great feeling.

This was a joke right? Put your pants and shirt on, then you should be fine.
I agree, just slap on the leather jacket and gloves and you're set. I rode in the other week when it was down to 42 degrees...we should be so lucky here in DAGO

Saw this old topic and had to respond. Not only is commuting via bike more pleasurable but there is a bit of gas savings and, especially, the one to two hours a day of time. I take the 91 fwy 45 miles each way and with it being continually under construction coupled with the use of the car pool lane and splitting, I mean "sharing", lanes the time saving difference is incredible. Bad thing is due to the hairy commute I don't ride for "fun" as much anymore.
