Great ride today!Beautiful day, awesome scenery! Looking forward to getting out again. 300 mile days were painful on my Sportster. Man I love my new Road King! 300 miles was a piece of cake today. I could do at least twice that now!
I think I'll go for a shorter ride tomorrow. I don't know where yet. Maybe Mt Baldy. If anyone wants to ride tomorrow let me know.
Hope you guys had a good safe ride up to Mount Baldy.
That ride to Julian was a very scenic journey. Really nice looking ranch-style homes and two-stories with acreage. Really nice windy side roads made the trip fun and unexpected.
Now, saying all that, I must point out that it was 40F and going 65+ most of the time... that equates to really cold ( for me ofcourse, some folks were walking around in t-shirts ), so "to each his own".... I was thinking -windshield half- the time.
And I also must mention the warm hostess at that saloon with her "i'd keep you warm..." comment along with that party of four women patrons who were ready to start dancing with us.... anything to add Scott and Wild Bill?
Friday was a fun ride, we got so lucky on the wind, for the last 2days it has blown like hell out here. I 'm glad youall enjoyed the ride, Ed stayin warm is ALL about the Layers, Chapswill help as well. I have allways had a good time at the Bore's Head Saloon, up there inJulian. After the new yearI want to ride up to the rock store, the last timeI was there was inthe mid 80's, that is sure to be a 300 mile ride for me. I look forward to the next time, Keep the rubber side down
I think I'm going to give my bike a break Friday and go off-roading in the San Bernardino mountains for the day. I am planning on riding Saturday though.
