I'll be doing day trips (100 miles)since no rooms available when I called in December. Think one of the forum members is putting together a meet-n-greet, plus hope the mascot flag will be there to sign.

 

We want to go but like Spudster said.......No rooms....Damn it!!!

 

Lots of camping there... Thats what I'm doin !

 

I can definately see a Sunday morning run...there is a National Guard Flag Run out of Caldwell Idaho on Saturday to raise money for our Soldiers...hopefully I can squeeze in both.

 

I'm going... There are rooms in La Grand, which is about 30 or 40 miles away.

 

You might try looking for rooms in Sumpter as well,it's a real small town just south of there.

 

If you are camping try Union Creek Campground on Phillips Lake just below Sumpter. Don'tmiss the Oregon Trail Interpretive Center.

I've been to Hells Canyon in 06 and 07, great riding up to the canyon, the town is the one's really putting on the event. really tame crowd, no colors that I saw. Be carefull, as to look for gravel on the corners, I saw lot's of crashs last year there.
Going to miss it this year.

 

Been there the last 2 yrs. I will never return. Most disorganized and poorly run event I've ever been on
