Hey guys, Its been a while since I've been on (trying to get career going) but I want to go to the River Run. I have been going 5 yrs straight and the rooms are cheaper than last year, but still up there. Last year was 1 of the best for me. 1st time in a long time that it was more laid back and didn't arrest all the woman showing skin. Only did when they were causing a back up in traffic. I will be solo this year, and cant afford a room solo. Anybody got an extra bed who is staying on strip?
Odds are pretty good you will be able to get a room for around 60.00 the week of the River Run. It's a risk but each hotel on the strip last year held around 200 rooms and most were unable to sell out. My buddy got 4 rooms at 45.00 a night at Aquarius last year. Its a risk but with the economy the way it is I would guess it will be pretty easy to get rooms the week of the event or 2 weeks in advance IMO.
My 7 year old son and I are going to ride out from Los Angeles and will stay at Buffalo Bills (Primm) Friday and Saturday night, but ride to Laughlin for Saturday day. What is up with the Laughlin website? There is no schedule posted nor is there any way to register online.
By the way, two nights at Buffalo Bills (Friday and Saturday) is about $110 and they have a pool, roller coaster, and arcade for the young ones.
I stayed in Laughlin in '99, '00, and '04.... But found that with my wife, Vegas Bikefest had everything Laughlin has... plus all of the amenities of Vegas. I haven't been to Laughlin in 5 years, but it seems like the right time to go again but with my son. He loves riding, and we live close enough to try it. Plus, Primm is much more accomodating for him to give him an all-around vacation. Best of everything.
I agree the vegas bikefest has been great. In 07, went to the vip biker girl mag and it was a blast!!!!!! Last year the, poker run was great. the weather was perfect and the desert is so beautiful to see on a bike, but i digress, staying outside of laughlin is cheaper, i dont mind the ride in the morn, its when you are heading back to hotel after a long day, thats what gets me. after all that walking and drinking, i just want to go to my bed and knock out!!
