no doubt! I'm thinking of moving to Oceanside/Fallbrook/Temecula area. Looks to be the best area based on my job. Houses here in Seattle are super pricey. I've been cking out websites and the homes seem to be about the same. I live in a decent area now and next door just went up for sale: 3 bedroom, 1 3/4 bath, 2 car garage and the house is 1250 square feet, small (so cal size lot) for $500K. Oh yeah, it's 35 years old as well. The average home in King County (Seattle and surrounding areas) is $425K. So we're used to high prices here as well. I'm hoping the market in So Cal will keep dropping for a bit and then I can get something decent in the $450 to $500K range. We'll see. Looks like I'll be down there full time the 1st week of December. See you all around down there sometime!
You've already gotten some great advice, we did the ride to Julian a couple of weeks ago -- it WAS GREAT!!! So is the short scoot out to Cook's and from there down through Live Oak Canyon to El Toro. From there, you can go a lot of places year round. Let me know when you're ready to go on your first trip to Cook's and we see you out there.
The head of Service over at Anaheim HD name is Kolby -- he's great and really knows his stuff.
Well the final move date is the last week in November! Going to have to trailer the bike down though, weather has gone way south and snow is getting into the mix now - but I'll be happy to ride all winter long without my heated gloves down in So Cal!
Just got here in Carlsbad area and looking for a house to rent until I figure out where to buy. It sure is nice having sun and mid 70 degree weather! What a change from Seattle!!! I think I can do some riding here...ha-ha!! See you all out there in a couple weeks...
