We are riding down from Seattle on Weds night through Salt Lake to Flagstaff to get there on Friday. just booked the rooms about a week ago at Aquarious for two nights. Meeting up with some guys from Mesa, AZ and we are all riding back to Seattle Sunday.
Looks like a good time so far/ except for How the police are going to react?
Act like an adult and the police will leave you alone. Break the law and they will deal with you. Never had a problem with them. Enjoy.
Im planning on leaving from Carson city NV on Wed. Maybe go through the Valley of the Fire State park near Vegas.
Just wondering if anybody has ever camped at the Davis camp on the AZ side of the river. I was at the rally a couple years ago and it seems that the camp was just a short walk(over the bridge) to the casino strip??
Davis Camp, I have never camped there but have been to the river run for years. It has always looked like a great party at the campground and for the most part people camped there were there for the River Run. Like minded people there for the same reason (to party and have a good time). It would be a LONG walk just to get to the first Hotel (the Riverside) about one mile. Would probably be better to hail a cab if they are available. Enjoy your time...See you on the 25th

Me and a buddy are trailering our bikes to Vegas from Idaho on Friday, then riding down on Sat. for the day. Probably ride around Lake Mead and Valley of Fire on Sun. I hope the weather is good. The last time I went to the River Run was in 93. Do people still ride up to Oatman, that place used to be a blast!
my family usually does our own river run in october. we take a similar route to the one mentioned above. Its a blast and its also nice to not have as many bikes around.
I rode mine up to the river run last year, but since i'm crashing in a buddy's trailer this year he is taking the bikes up wed night. kinda bummed about that. We are staying at the Avi. Its a short ride to the strip, but still has its own vendor booths.
Last week they were forcasting rain all 3 days, just checked now and they are saying its gonna be cloudy fri and sun, but good weather sat.
