It's Fri. afternoon and raining like hell. My partner and his son (my god son) are on their way down from Oxnard, we're still going, short of a snow storm.

I left home for Yuma really early, around 7:30am, and stayed ahead of the rain. Got to Yuma around 12:00pm, and hung out at the HD dealer. Then checked into my hotel. And am now here checking e-mail. I'll be registering at the fairgrounds soon.
Hopefully I will see ya there. I am planning on leaving tomorrow morning. My partners are running a little scared/worried. I keep telling them we only need to get across the mountain and the weather will clear.
I keep telling them we will encounter less wind and weather if we take the back route to Jacumba, but then we encounter lots of turns.
ok got back it was a little cold and windy going over friday night it blew and rained sat was great left early sunday nice weather a little wind in the des. and alittle more in the mountains all in all a good weekend
Grumpy Irish:
I also came back this morning. I think I might have seen yoyu at the Chevron in El Centro. I went over early Saturday a.m it was cold thru the mountains but beutiful in the desert.
Lots of people and lots of bikes. The barbecue was good too.
I rode with Grumpy Irish Again from El Centro to Yuma, and then rode back with him from Yuma to Ocotillo. Ended up meeting some other friends of mine in Ocotillo, and rode the rest of the way back with them.

Hey Stellis this is funny. You actually have a picture of my back standing in the line for the barbecue. White sleeveless with Sweetwater Harley logo.
After the mandatory bar hopping, eight of us got to the fairgrounds about 7:00 pm, just in time for the sand storm. We went to dinner and got done just in time for the rain. The rest of the weekend was great. Ran into Stelis and a bunch of other folks. We left Sun. just in time to catch the 50 mph cross winds all the way back to Pioneertown. Great times!!!! We'll be there next year!
