From Inland Empire CA to Puget Sound WA
I had been a geo-bachelor in CA and had been on my bike all winter ... I loaded out and shipped everything that wouldn't fit via the mail ...
I had taken the Pacific Coast Highway from San Juan Capistrano up to Monterey over New Years ... so, I decided to take the 101 pretty much the whole way ...
Leaving Corona, CA, I caught the 71 to 57 and then up to 210 across LA to the West ... then, North on 5 to 26 West again to Ventura where I picked up the 101 North ...
Getting ready to leave, I had been running around town sans my fairing/lower fairings ... I really like the look and the ride of my bike like this ...

A week or so before I took off, I had gone to Laughlin for the River Run and made a little ride around AZ on historic Route 66 ... a couple of photos out in Seligman AZ ...

... hoping I wouldn't end up like the photo above ... especially seeing as I was in the company of some hombres like this ...

Well, I said a few 'Our Father's and took off ...
[For a frame of reference, I made the ~1,200 mile trip from WA to CA in two days ... jetting down I-5 and spending the night at Redding ...]
My better half had scheduled an engagement for the fourth day, so I really had only three nights and a morning ...
I had some loose ends to tie up before leaving Corona, CA and wasn't able to get on the road until almost 4:00PM ... the first night, I made it as far as Paso Robles CA when it got pretty late and I decided to lay up for the night ...
I left the following morning around 9 - 9:30 as I recall ... I made it to SF a little after noonish I want to say ...
I am pretty horrible about stopping to get photos, but I'll post what little I took ... and, I did stop after crossing the Golden Gate bridge and grab a couple of shots with the city and the bridge as backdrops ...

... you can almost make out the SF skyline if you look closely at the background ... LoL ...

I took off and wanted to make it to Eureka CA area before stopping for the night ... a rather optimistic goal ... but, I did spend my second night on the road at a Best Western in Eureka ...
I had contacted a distant cousin of mine who I hadn't seen in many years ... he lives near Eureka ... he wanted to meet, so the third morning we met up for coffee and toured around the Redwood Park in Arcata ...
A couple of photos of the sights that morning

My cous' snapped a really neat photo of his daughter with my bike as a prop ... thought it turned out really cool ...

I wanted to snap a photo of my bike in the tree that you can drive through ... but, when I got there it was closed for the day ... so, I just snapped a few photos by one of the other redwoods ... their size is really something you have to experience ... pictures just do not do them justice ...

Stayed on 101 all of the way up the Oregon coast that day ... only got this one photo along the Oregon coast ... it is rather typical with pretty sandy beaches occasionally broken up by jagged cliffs ...

I stopped for dinner at a Mexican restaurant in Coos Bay ... back on my way North on 101 after dinner until it started getting late and cooling down ... I was really starting to get chilly when I got to Lincoln City, OR so I stopped for the night at the Inn at Spanish Head ... that bed was really inviting after my third day in the saddle ...

Some views out the patio door of my room as the sun was rising the next morning ...
