I say we meet in L.A. about 2 blocks from me... yeah... I can walk there before my bike even warms up.

Lets meet in I.E. Sounds more like the middle for the LA/OC peeps?

I say 11am ride and 1pm lunch sounds great. Feel free to bring the ladies! Mine is in Canada ATM but the more the merrier!

Ive never been to a single one of the spots mentioned, as I dont have friends that ride so I'm up for any of them!

Depends on your final destination. If we're going back to Malibu or beach environs, going to the IE will mean about 30 minutes out east then backtracking out west for an hour for us SGV'ers, then you can start riding. About the same for Angeles or Hollywood or anywhere in L.A. you might want to go.

My suggestion is that we meet somewhere in SGV and go from there, either Angeles or Malibu and then eat wherever we end up locally... if you go to the IE, the only ride is going up the backside of GMR by Upland/210 but that section is very narrow, like less than a single lane wide... unless you want to ride Big Bear which is a whole other issue.

ETA: Talked to my other buddy who rides a V-Star and is also a SGV'er. He would love to join us because he is a cruiser through and through and he loves these types of rides. Knows a lot of good roads and restaurants too.

You want me to just set up something for Angeles or Malibu, including something for lunch?

If it's Angeles, we can just eat at Newcomb's Ranch. Their food is actually pretty good.

If it's Malibu, we have more choices, including Neptune's Net (a bit greasy for me), Malibu Seafood Market, Coogies, Country Mart, or The Rock Store.

I actually did a last minute run to Newcomb's today! The food was pretty good, but the construction up there was a bit inconvenient. We had to have an escort through the construction area going up and coming down.

Let's do a Malibu run!

Okay, let's meet at the Chevron gas station off Atlantic and Riggin in Monterey Park, it's about 2 blocks north of the 60 freeway. It's pretty much the last stop in SGV before we hit L.A. Meet, gas up, and go. From there, we can hop on the 60 west and take it to the 10 west til PCH, go up to Chevron on Sunset/PCH if there are people there to meet from the westside, then head up to Malibu that way.

Any preference on routes there? Piuma? Encinal? Malibu Canyon? Mulholland? I'll say though, some of those roads are pretty tight and not ideal for big Harleys like mine.

Then there's lunch... so many details to work out.
