Default DIY Pan America Radiator Guard

Since the Motor Company is sold out of all things Pan America, I had to get a little creative and make my own radiator guard (and saved $120) roughly following this video:
  • Make a cardboard template as the video shows.
  • I used $20 mesh grill material found on Amazon (AggAuto Universal 40"x13" Car Grill Mesh - Aluminum Alloy Automotive Grille Insert Bumper Hexagon Hole 6x12mm)
  • Leave one large tab across the top of the mesh (instead of 2 individual tabs) for the 2 bolts on the bike, and a smaller tab at the bottom for the center bolt on the bike - the mesh I used must be a bit thicker than the user on the video did since he ultimately cut them off and just zip-tied his guard to the bike.
  • I zip-tied some drip hose (split open) around the outer edges of the guard to protect the bike frame from the mesh ends before installing.
  • Plus, I used a $7 can of gloss gray spray paint for the Harley emblem stencil I made with an xacto knife and temporarily spray mounted to the guard.
$27 bucks in and it's done.
