Heres a side by side. The Karoo's kind of look like the stock scorchers, the metz kind of look like the ME888/Cruisetec and im not sure what the others look like.

Dunlop Mutant

I run offroad as much as possible so when the stock tires run out I'm looking for more of a 50/50 tire that can handle sand better. The stock tires are ok on dirt but really bad in sand. Those tires look great for city use. Might try those on my sportster.

Bumping this one cuz my bike is at 10k and im trying to decide what to go with for my next tire. Looking for a 90/10, as i'm mostly on road only. On the short list is the Michelin Road 6 GT, Metzeler Tourance Next 2's, Battlax A41 adv, and the Pirelli Scorpion Trail II. If any of you have run these, please report in!

and forgot to mention, also the new Anakee Road tires are on my shortlist. Lots of feedback on these in the ADV forums, but almost none in PA circles

As stated above, I installed Michelin Road 6. Sport bike handling and no wear apparent at 3k. Only off road is my 200' gravel driveway. I'm pleased with my choice.

Dunlop Trailmax Missions on mine. They are supposed to be 50/50 tires but I think the Trailmax Raid's are the real 50/50 tires. These are more 60/40 I think (I have seen them referred to as such). With that said these handle the dirt and gravel roads better than the Scorchers did, They also handle the road just fine with very little noise. One downside to them is that the effort needed on the bars to change direction is higher than the Scorchers. The bike 'feels' less sporty. On the other hand, it rolls on the road like a freight train now.

Just put some Michelin Road 6's on and went for a ride. Great road tire, smooth as ice on the stupid concret interstate lines, corners very well. My Pan Am is on the road 99.9+% of the time, so I didn't have any hesitation for a road oriented tire. I did want to try some Dunlop Mutants, but they were unavailable, so went all in on road tires. As it was the break ride for the tires, I didn't push them hard in the corners yet. Next ride I will see what they have in them.

Thanks for the update. Was it the "GT" variant of the Road 6?

Also, dont know if this was posted before, but found this helpful:
