I guess it pays to take pictures of your work, and then critique it an hour later. I was looking at the picture of my new exhaust, and it struck me that something didn't look right. Bigger than ****, I positioned the exhaust bracket on the inside of the bike's mounting bracket, totally ignoring the very explicit installation instructions. Mother...%$&&#$(@!$**%&$^!!! Lucky for me, it was a quick 10 min fix.

There...all better.

Looks really nice! I remember a lot of guys waiting on this exhaust as it’s popular with other ADV. bikes. Also, the pegs look pretty solid as well. Where did you find them?

I just did an internet search on Pan America foot pegs, and saw about a dozen different sets. I liked the looks and the size of these particular foot pegs...also because they reminded me of a set of adventure pegs I had on my old KTM.

Just a heads up. Once your tuned and much more powerful it becomes apparent the saddle bags get blasted by wind sheer. It will feel like the bike is wallowing as the bags are very wide.

It's why most manufactures limit the speed to 140mph if you have saddle bags.

Just know when your above 120mph and left off the throttle and have some wiggle... it's just the bags. When you take them off there is no extra movment on the bike when decel.

Thanks man, but the chances of me riding a motorcycle at over 120mph are somewhere between slim and none. The fastest that I've been is about 80 with the sport bags on, and the bike was super stable.

Are you experiencing this with the aluminum cases, or with the sport cases?

And yeah, bags causing instability is a known issue, it's why BMW puts a top speed warning of 80 mph on their K1600B Grand America(!)

They, were thinking of gravel roads. Or, dirt roads. Or mud puddles.
Most of all, they were thinking of reliability.

One thing I noticed about the stock pegs is they are set flat. Put your boots on the pegs by themselves and you will see that you are then only touching the inside part of the peg. All motorcycles, especially dirt going ones, need the pegs slightly angled up. I fixed this with just welding the inside part that hit the frame and grinding to get the right angle. I pointed this out to my dealer (owner is on some rep board), and he said he would tell them, so IDK if they fixed it on later models. Mines a '22.
It's just how our legs spread out naturally in an angle, and on some boots (my dirt ones are alpinestar T10), they literally build in a little angle to them.
Just FYI.
