Hey fellas! I got this Ol Pan in the worst way possible...This sled was in my living room for most of my life. I have seen it blue/white, red/white, black/white. My pops loved this Pan! I know the "cheese grader" on the front fender is not 59 (dad said it was it was "slick as pig guts" He always said a few things on it are not "period correct, most people would not know" I would like to know what they are...( Cant ask the old man) Appreciate the help

I do have the windshield and original Tour pack with buddy seat. A tank shifter gas tank setup

Cool bike, I wouldn't care what's not correct. I'm sure you'll go down the road enjoying it.

Nice bike + plus it was your dad's and now it's yours. Good for keeping it in the family. Get a service and parts manual and ride it.

Sorry for the loss of your dad, but he’ll be in the wind with ya every time you’re on that ‘59. Only two items that jump right out at me as incorrect are the pipes and the clutch & brake levers. Ride the heck out of it like your dad intended. I’ve had my ‘59 now for 46 years and, though I’ve owned loads of other bikes both new and old, it’s still my go to favorite for touring.
