Default Help with finding replacement Regulator

I have 59 Pan with 2 brush 12v Gen. Have small lithium battery to aid kick start. Was running solid state regulator on end of Generator. Worked fine but recently failed. I can find many replacements for end cap voltage regulator but would really like to find a solid state regulator that looks like original Panhead regulator that bolts on engine. Anyone seen one or have a source??? Thanks

First thing - your lucky the mechanical regulator stopped working - they cause the lithium battery to go up in flames - abet my own 1926 JD

second - they make a end cover in chrome like the original end cover but it has a electronic regulator in behind it bolted to the generator end

will pull one out a picture it up tomorrow with the part number and who to buy it from

Wink Thanks

Regulator had no output. Running 65A generator so 14.5 or so is max voltage output. I was running a solid state regulator that mounts on the end of the Gen. I know those are available for multiple sources. I wanted to find a solid state regulator that mounts where the original
regulator mounted, next to the distributor. Small chrome box would make it look more original. Thought about taking the VTwin unit that mounts to the Generator and relocating the circuit board to the original location, but those don't seem to have an excellent track record for durability. Probably low demand for what I'm looking for. Thanks again.

Have you looked into Cycle Electric? They are the best in the business.

Yup, have one on my '46 Flathead with 12v conversation. Works great, I sourced an original Delco Remy cover than spent a minute to retap the holes to take the original screws. No one will ever know the difference, completely concealed and functional. Only warning, they are sensitive, ALWAYS disconnect your battery before touching anything electronic, the regulator will be the first thing fried, every time. Ask me how I know?
