I needed new generator gears for a couple of my 32E's (reminds me of a girl I dated as a teen, sigh...) but Im not getting a warm fuzzy feel about these repop gears. Considering their proximity to some very precious spinning internal engine parts Im not sure what to use. Looking for input / experience. The dark gear is one of Tedd's finest, the roll pin they sent with it falls right through the hole, its the pin not the hole thats at fault. I wondered if the gear is powdered metal or plated to give it that look. The lighter gear is from Deluxe HD Restorations and of course it says its a quality gear. Kinda like "made well in Taiwan". I weighed them, they're identical. I might rockwell test them compared to an oem worn out gear. Not a fan of how rough the teeth are. Neither inspires confidence but the brighter gear is nicer.
