Rebel Gears will make up a high-temper aluminum 49- or 48-tooth sprocket for $113 pus shipping. Their part number is 901A-49 or 48 depending on what you want. I.D. is 8.30. They have the OEM specs, so should fit fine.
My machinist says this temper of aluminum will wear virtually indistinguishably from steel. Ive got a spreadsheet to calculate rpms at speed, so whenever I figure out which Im getting, Im ordering one for the 51 FLwhich is running a 25-tooth tranny sprocket.
