It Won't start

The Harley I have has set in a biulding for the last 4 or 5 years. I managed to get it going way easier than I expected. I rode it around my neiborhood with no problems. I took a bigger trip with no problems. The next trip I rode about 20 miles and it quit but started right back up. I rode up the street and it quit again. This time I kicked my guts out and it finally started. On my way back home it started missing and back firing through the exaust and quit again. I got it home checked all of the electrical connections and it started 2nd kick. went up the street and quit again. Has not hit a lick again. Could the module be bad in the dist.

My first guess would be the carb What carb is on this beast?

Another thought did you flush out the gas tank or tanks?

Another thing to consider is a bad condenser

it has good gas and it has been changed to an electronic ignition, it has a S&S. it also has dual coils and four spark plugs

I really do not know much about the stuff used to biuld this bike. The man who biult it was my father-n-law's best freind and has passed away along with any passing of any knowledge. During the process of me transfering the bike from state to another I have found that it has a Paugcho frame and maybe an electraglide front end. I havn't had a chance to check the firing system yet I am hoping that is the peoblem. I am very new to all of this and I am very eager to as much as I can.
