Now it is still not running like it was. I have done alot of kicking. I took the plugs out and they were really black so I cleaned them and put them back in until I get some new ones.
If a jet in the carb was to big is it possible that it can't fire fast enough to burn that amount of fuel.
It has 4 plugs The 2 on the left are one size and the two on the right are smaller... why?
I checked the battery with a meter and it had a little over 12 vlts.
When they dual plugged the heads they probably went with 10mm on the new right side plug location ( MAKES NO DIFF ) When you start this bike do it in the dark and see if the headlight goes from dim to bright as you rev the motor Let us know With generators it's easy to see charging
I have been told to do that before and I have noticed no difference in the beam. I had the gen. tested and the told as far as he could tell it was working. He thought the regulator might be bad. It has the all in one gen.
When I start this thing now it idles and takes throttle for a minute and chokes out. When I try to restart it sends flame out of the exaust about 12"
Go back to the bat put the volt meter across the terminals try to start it again see if the voltage moves up say 12v to 13 volts or fully charge the battery 1.5 volt charger then try it again If it runs for a longer time I'd say charging problem if not carb problems etc. That volt reg can be taken off the gen if replacing go with the old mechanical reg
