56 pan

Hi , I am having trouble removing the valve seats in my pan, they appear to have been cast into the head , does that sound correct?

My guess you have never done that before - it is not a novis job thust me - your next post will be looking for replacement heads - i wont go into what has to happen to remove them but i would say bring them to a machine shop - johnjzjz

Definitely bring it to someone who knows what they are doing. I bought a pan that was supposed to have a fresh top end done. The valve seat fell out after 700 miles and trashed the valves and guides.
