Bill, my earlier advice on truing wheels was wrong, set the offset first then true the wheel. I did it correctly on my springer thread. It pays to read the manual, not go by memory. Good luck, it's not hard, just time consuming.
The Panhead gods were good to me at Oley this year. Bought a ton of good OEM parts and left with money in my pocket for Fire House beer and racing at RMC.
Outer primary cover and derby, dash cover, battery top cover, license plate bracket, rear brake pedal assembly, complete headlight, rear chain guard and a new wiring harness. Prices were very reasonable with only a few people not looking to negotiate. But some guys giving stuff away, derby cover was $5!?!?!? Very happy with haul, could not get one guy to part with a front fender for the cash I had left.
She has a face, now I need about a month off to finish all the work currently available to me!?!??!?!!? And I need more shop. I have become that shop that needs to roll bikes outside to work on anything.
Progress remains slow but moving in the right direction. Having some back issues, tires getting mounted currently on hold, not looking to cripple myself for two weeks. I did make some room in the shop and got her off the furniture dolly and on the lift which made work that much easier. Rocker clutch is fully mounted and ready to go, the washers on the back side that go over the shaft needed to be filed on the flat side to fit. I also got my jiffy stand all set up with the exception of an incorrect stand. Lots of talk from Palmer about the support being different from rigid to swing arm frames so I spent the time finding the right one so the bike leans correctly. Then new hardware but a jiffy stand still eludes me. I had a chrome one from the Shovel, put that on for now and it works as it should.
I think rear brakes are the next move, would like to install the wheels once (dreaming). Apparently I already bought a new wheel cylinder, need to try doing a rebuild of the master I have and I need the plunger assembly. And of course the task of arcing the shoes which I have been avoiding. Spring yard work has been taking up my little free time, hopefully that ends soon and I can get the wheels and brakes done.
Any chance you have an oil filter mounting bracket for a ridged frame (#83860-50)? Gonna run a filter on the 49 FL project. One I have is for a swingarm

I do, in chrome. I bought it incorrectly last year before I knew they were different. Not sure if it is OEM or not, but chrome and it is yours.
I packed it last night, hopefully my wife will get it to the Post Office today, then it will be up to Federal employees to bring it across the country. Happy to return the favor.
