Nope, powder coat is just that, a powder. The part you want covered is positively charged and the powder is negatively charged and when it's sprayed on it sticks to the part then it's baked in an oven and it comes out looking like paint but harder and more durable. You can have it flat or gloss.

I might have some of the positive / negative stuff turned around but thats the jist of it.

Thanks! That's what I thought too. I was concerned at first but after seeing the finished product I am no longer concerned and will be taking more stuff to them when I need it done.
