Default touch up paint

Hey everyone,I have a question? has anyone ever used the HD touchup paint in the little bottles,I have an 03 RK pearl white that I put a scratch in the lower part of the bag,I tried the touch up paint in the bottles with the brush in the cap,and it did not come out to nice,I have sanded ,buffed, polished ,just about everyyhing I could think of but it just doesn't look good.I was wondering if I could put that paint in my airbrush sprayer and spray it.It comes in two parts,it has the white base coat and the white pearl topcoat,I was going to try it. but if any knows any thing about this can you let me know.It.s probably about a 2 inch by 2 inch piece that has to be painted so it wont take to much paint to do it,I just don't know if I have to thin this paint out and what to use if I do, or how much thinner to use.

I'd reduce it if your goin put it through an air brush. Start with a 2 to 1 mixture you'll probably have to be more like 1to 1. Are you goin put some sort of clearcoat of it for UV protection?

Id stay away from paint thinner thats what id use to clean ur airbrush.I would go to your local body shop tell'em what your doin. I'm sure they give u a couple 2- 3 oz of reducer. As for the poly spray bomb u get what u pay for. There isn't much uv protection from a rattle can. I work in a high production body shop as a painter and I always have "garbage can" clear coat left. Over mixed product that I end up tossing in the garbage. U should get your color sprayed out lookin good and go back to a body shop and get some clear coat. Hope this helps good luck.

I just used the touch up paint the other day that I had bought from HD. Your never going to get it to look right but I was pleasantly surprised at how thinned it was. Others I have messed with were always so stinkin thick. Sooner do a couple thin layers.
