I'm hoping someone can help me.
I have the PPG codes for DBC but can't find a cross to ppg's envirobase.
I have a 2008 Rocker C Crimson Red Sunglo Deluxe.
The codes I found are DBC 918333 base and DBC 91833/2 topcoat. Our PPG rep said we should be able to find the envirobase number in our system but we can't. It doesn't show 918333 as a good number.
Does anybody have codes for Envirobase ??
There is no EHP formula only DBC and Global. Make sure when you do your search for motorcycle colors you set the source code on motorcycles. I just checked PPG online color and that was the only two available.
There's a couple of things that could be done to get you the closest match possible. The first is sending a piece of the bike to the color lab in Whittier CA or have someone do a spray-out in DBC and send that in. What have found in some cases with HD codes is the color is developed in Deltron and trying to match them with another line can prove to be a challenge. Do you live in a regulated area? Talk with your PPG rep I'm sure he can help you get some answers. If you don't have an option to spray anything other than EHP you'll have to do one of the two options I talked about. If you can spray something else we can get you product.
The only other idea I had was taking the chromatic variant deck and looking to see if there's anything close....I'm thinking if your doing an overall that would work but if you're trying to match panels might not be close enough...good luck.
