Asking for prayer!!
#22
Dear Lord Jesus, please follow Charlie into the walls of confinement, and help him and his friends to find the words, find the emotion, that will unlock the way into the minds and souls of the people he goes to meet. Turn to your Holy Father and pray to him that he shares the Holy Ghost to spread among the ones who hear and to make the changes in those lives you so desperately want to reach. In Jesus name we pray and thank-you, amen. Noname

well, back from day 2, The Holy Spirit was rampant today. I had a guy come up to me about an hour before we finished for the night. He was in tears, slightly uncontrollable, and I could see the needle marks in his arms. He told me that he was so sick and tired of the drugs, and how hes tried to give them up, but has been unable to. He cried in my arms for about 5 minutes, after we went into a small office. We prayed and he asked Jesus to fill his heart, and I ask him to promise me to stop using. I am more than quite aware, that its not that easy, But the Lord did take all my desires away, all at once, so it can happen. I will be following up on him, and I am trying to get him into the "celebrate recovery" program they have there. Hearts are being cut open, and major heart surgery is being performed!! Tomorrow, is a big day, lots of real heart wrenching stuff going on, I am anticipating great things for the Kingdom, Amen!!

just got in from 3rd day, Its a big one. after we have a great meal of Lasinga, We have waiting for them what we call "sucker bags", filled with 75-80 letters, some from us, the outside team, and most from strangers, and young kids, 8-14 years old, all telling them that they are praying for them and they love them with the love of Christ. 36 level 4 convicts, all in tears, all afraid to look up for fear that they will be seen broken, humbled, amazed, and found loved, some for the first time in their lives. Later on we have a forgiveness ceremony, using the rice paper, and water, giving forgiveness to people who don't even know they are getting it, to release the bitterness welled up inside for years and years. More tears, some of joy, lots from relief, all amazed that this could even happen at all to them, in prison. Tomorrow, we ask them to take up the cross, Offering a small wooden cross, and say to them, "Jesus is counting on you", and their reply is: 'I am counting on Jesus!" By now, I am crying!!. then at some point, we go to the chow hall, where they will have another "street food" meal, hang out there for a short while, and 50-60 guests come in, to hear the open mic comments. some of these people are some of the letter writers, some are the cookie makers, (of which there were 7000 dozen cookies!!), and all come to let them know that they are not alone. If you think the weekend blew them away, you should see the looks on their faces, when this hits them right square in the heart!!!
