A very close and dear friend of mine was involved ina head on accidentwhile riding Thursday evening. The details are sketchy at this point but evidently the car in front of her slammed on it's brakes and she locked up the rear tire. What happened next isn't clear. Either she let off the brake allowing the bike to right it self and shoot left or it simply skidded left of center isn't known. What is known is she hit a van heading the opposite directionhead on.Thank God she did not receive anybrain, head or neck damage andthat itselfis a HUGE miracle considering she doesn't wear a helmet. Thevan was totaled as was her bike. Herright arm, wrist, handand right leg are shattered and as Iwritethis she is in surgery.
Her name is Stacieand if you would say a prayer for her...specifically that she keeps herright leg...would be much appreciated.I'm a blitheringmess right nowbecause we were riding together all morning and afternoon and about an hour after we split up...for meto go to work...this happened.
Message edited to provide more accurate information concerning her injuries after seeing her today.
Man, I feel for ya. Life is so precious and we take so much for granted at times..I know I do. Prayers and positives are sent as I type...yes, I can pray and type at the same time. Seems I learned how when I discovered this forum earlier this year.
I hope Stacie does well and that God grants her a little slack.....I'll never understand His work, only that there are unknown reasons for everything. I wish you strength in the days ahead to help her through her ordeal.
Prayers sent. I know how you feel my son had a wreck 8-9 truck turned in front of him fellow was 2x over the limit for Texas. Totaled his bike too. He is out of the hospital for now but .
