A soldiers prayer
brave warriors, should fate find us in battle,
may our cause be just
may our leaders have clear vision
may our courage not falter
may we be triumphant and earn victory
as we show mercy to our enemies
may our efforts bring lasting peace
may our sacrifice be always appreciated by those we serve
may we return to our loved ones unharmed
should we be harmed , may our wounds heal
should we perish in the struggle
may god embrace us and find for us
a place in in his kingdom

soldiers prayer
I posted this thread back in Feb. I have since returned from my tour in Iraq. I don't have any great war stories to tell or any heroic episodes to brag about. I just did my job and returned home safely to my family. But there are many of my brothers and sisters that have not been as fortunate as I have and some that are still in harms ways. I have one request for anyone that reads this...pray for them all, they deserve it.

Great prayer Cantsleep, I will be getting out of Afganistan in about 2 more months. For those that are deploying or are already out here or Iraq, good luck and safe tour, oh, and kick some A$$ so we can get this wrapped up.
