I wonder if it was a conventional trike like a Harley, or if it was a Can-am Spyder.

I hate to read these sad events!! Prayers to her Husband and all concerned. My wife just started riding a Trike. She is getting better as she rides, but I always caution her to not get over confident. We just took a trip up the BRP to Boone NC. Theres sections of the BRP that are under construction. Also some rough sections of road in areas. I keep thinking as I ride around this beautiful country, why are people in such a hurry? I see cagers flying down the road as well as Bikers. I can only speculate what happened with Judy. She probably got into the corner too fast, jerked the handlebars and it flipped. You can't lean those things like a two wheeler and it takes some getting used to pulling instead of pushing to turn. I had a guy on the Trike forum tell me when my wife get's used to her trike, not to try and keep up with her in the twisties. I got news for him, I'm not going to push her into any unsafe speeds anywhere. She doesn't like to go fast anyway. When we road two up, she always liked to take it easy and enjoy the scenery.

We may never know what happened. I was ready to hit the BRP with my oldest daughter, but my bike has had a few minor issues and I am holding back.

Any road is dangerous, especially in the heat, when fatigue sets in quickly.

Just drink plenty of liquids, and take frequent breaks. Don't lose concentration, but still manage to enjoy the ride.
