God Smacked
Let me start off by saying that if you don't belive in God than listen to my story and maybe you might.
I commute each day to and from work on my 11 SG 37 miles each way from the Inland Empire area to Los Angeles, I take the dreaded 91 fwy, one of the most congested in southern California and the Only route to and from where I need to go.
Each day i say a little prayer for safe travels before I get on my bike, no different when leaving work. As I approach the part of the fwy where the toll lane and carpool lane end into one I always split the lanes do to heavy congestion and also whisper a silent pray for God's protection to get me the rest of the way home safely.
yesterdays ride home was no exception to this except that after my prayer a woman in a car decided last inute to change lanes as I was right next to her, I narrowly avoided hitting her and dumping the bike and myself and most likely being injured. I immediately turn and gave her the finger, which is not what I wanted to do or am very proud of doing, it just slipped out and is something I really need to work on being that i try to live a Christian life.
The slap to my face came just moments later as I went under an over pass with several people standing above with signs saying to trust in Jesus. LOL boy did I fail that test of faith yesterday, all I could do is say out loud, Thanks God for the reminder, I do trust you, I just fail to always remember you have my back.
