Could use some thoughts
I got admitted to the hospital the other day. Diagnosed with pneumonia. During my chest X-ray they noticed an abscess in my lung. They are thinking it is just from a build up of bacteria. They are doing a bronchoscope Monday and are going to do a biopsy just in case. I am only 36 but I did smoke for a while. I am pretty shook up

You'll pull through. I got bad pneumonia 2 years ago. I was a smoker then and in that instant quit. I had similar spots in my lung on x-ray. Tunrned out to be some kind of normal pleurisy bacteria or something. It went away. I couldn't walk 10 feet without taking a knee to catch my breath. Maybe a God sent thing and I was supposed to quit smoking right then. Only bummer for us now is the fact that "they" say we can be more susceptible to having pneumonia easier again. Another way to maybe be positive that you may not want to hear is that if this thing in your lung is anything scary maybe you're catching it early and they can deal with it now. Anyway be strong and get better. Peace
