Whining Noise from primary
I have a loud hi pitch whining noise coming from the primary on my 2013 Tri Glide. You can hear it in all 6 gears during deceleration at any speed under 55mph and at any RPM. Above 55, no noise! Pull in the clutch and the noise stops. Only during decel with the clutch engaged. I took it to the dealer and they installed a new SE compensator and chain tensioner ($850) and the noise stopped for a while, then sometimes it would make the noise, then again it would not. Now it is doing it all the time and just as loud as before taking it to the dealer. I am retired and another $850 trip to the dealer to let them change more parts will hurt!!! The dealer put Syn 3 oil in the primary. Any help or advice will be appreciated.

My guess would be that you are down shifting pretty hard with the Triglide and damaging the chain tensioner. The tensioner can ratchet itself too tight if you snap the drive line when the engine is cool.. How long has it been since the last repair? Maybe the shop will cut you some slack.
