Had to replace the tranny main shaft & inner clutch hub due to a broken woodruff key, (really chewed up shafts). Had all the parts laid out in order, ready for reassembly when everything got knocked off the bench. I'm 95% sure I have reassembled both the countershaft & main shaft correctly, but that 5% is really bugging me. I'd like to get the tooth count for every gear on the shafts just to be 100% sure I have the right gear in the right place. Does anyone know where I can get tooth count for each gear?
I doubt if it is possible to assemble a tranny any other way than the right one! Your FSM should have enough info, there are also parts websites which show some info you may find useful.
Found the answer. did a little research and found a great video on youtube that covers 5-speed transmission disassembly & reassembly. As for the tooth count for each gear, got that too, hopefully, this info will be useful to someone.
