Go to "Ronnies Parts Finder"
Plug in your `92 FXSTC

I think the ’92 Heritage is an FLSTC? I could be wrong.

The washer goes directly under the nut.

You have two spacers the same size, part number 43654-86A, they are .750" long, one in each side of the wheel, right against the bearing.

The longer spacer, part number 41595-86 (1.230" long) goes outboard of the left spacer.

All EVO era Softails use the same axle/spacer configuration on the rear wheel.

It does not matter which way the axle is installed, but most install it with the nut on the right side so the axle can be removed without messing with the muffler.

Correct, left side, outboard of the small spacer.

Hi. The washer wasn't there before disassembly.

Because someone didn't ask the question you ask. And I rotated my axle years ago.

Heard someone say Harley installed the axle so nut doesn't loosen hard braking in reverse.

I don't do that.

If the washer was somewhere other than underneath the nut it was installed in the wrong location.
