Default Clutch Engages Too Far Out

Just got my bike back from getting serviced and now the clutch lever need to be almost 3/4 of the way out before it starts to engage.&nbsp\\; At this point my hand is almost completely stretched out.&nbsp\\; When i brought it the lever would be about an inch or so out and start to engage and then full engaged by the time my hand was full stretched.&nbsp\\; This makes taking off tough when on hills and on sharp corners.&nbsp\\; Any way to bring the lever closer to the bar when it starts to engage?

There is a good article in the "DIY" section ............run a search there on clutch adjustment.

You will find it shifts better and clunks less the way it is currently adjusted, however it may not have enough clearance on the adjusting screw on the clutch pack.

If you want your friction zone closer to the grip, shorten the clutch cable housing by turning the adjuster under the rubber boot two flats at a time.

There is a point where disengagement and full release work well with a looser lever setting.
